Flemish Cap and NE Grand Banks
- A 750-km-long profile will image the full continent-ocean transition.
This will be combined with a similar depth section being taken by British
scientists across the once contiguous margin off SW Ireland.
- Two deployments of 21 OBSs were performed for CCGS Hudson cruise
2002-011. Line 1 is a MARIPROBE line, which will hopefully produce useful
information about deep crustal structures. Line 2 is a 3 dimensional high
resolution wide angle survey, which is intended to image the shallow
velcoity structure of the sediemnts in the Whiterose area.
