  • Hudson cruise - Scotian Margin
Wide angle seismic study of the Mohican Channel area, trying to build on previous studies and obtain a very detailed velocity structure of shallow sediments, especially near the base of the gas hydrate stability zone. This data should tie in well with industry 2d and 3d multichannel data. Key goals will be the determination of differences in velocity structure between areas with strong bottom simulating reflectors and those without them. Analysis of wide angle data will likely include traveltime inversion, fullwaveform inversion, and analysis of p-s converted waves.

  • Greenland cruise
Wide angle seismic study off the west coast of Greenland. Chief Scientist is Thomas Funck .
